Minnesota Academy of Reading Policy and Issues Symposium: Critical Issues in Literacy 2021

The online Zoom event is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 4-5PM. In advance of the synchronous session, MAR will provide links to videos and readings prior to the online event on February 21st on the following topics:

  • Minnesota Department of Education Updates (State of the State in Literacy)
  • Anti-racist Literature for Elementary and Secondary Levels
  • Motivating and Engaging Readers (with a focus on distance learning)
  • Science of Reading

You will have an opportunity to engage in one or all of the topics listed above. The February 21, 2021 online synchronous session will serve as an opportunity to share resources, ask questions and collaborate with literacy educators around these important topics. 

Registration for the symposium is free.
